Whenever I want to watch a scary Sci-fi movie, without fail I always end up asking myself, “E vent Horizon or Sunshine?”
Followed soon after by—
“28 days later or 28 weeks later?”
“speaking of 28 weeks later, how about 30 days of night..? Hmm... ”
Or that one space movie... With a “P” that I watched that one time.... Uhhh... What was it? Oh! Pandemonium! Err... Pandemic? Panda-men? Hold on—
*googles *
“right. Pandemonium. Great movie. Underrated gem ”
“ohhhhh I haven’t seen Dark City in ages! And speaking of Dark City... How about Equilibrium? Well, I guess Equilibrium isn’t really that scary. Or, uh... Good. But I like it!”
“hmm... Maybe I’ll try a NEW movie!”
“... Or just re-watch T he M atrix?”
“nah, I did that last year. How about Alien? But which Alien... ”
“huh, guess I should be getting ready for bed... I swear it was 8pm just a minute ago....”
*watches T he Office *

Event Horizon is fantastic, “ Sphere” is one I always compare it to in my head.

First things first, great choice in beer.
Next, how about something really weird for a sci-fi movie? Upstream Color (or the director’s previous movie, Primer ), or Brazil , or Delicatessen ?

Event Horizon is a gem. Who knew the Gothic aesthetic works so well in space?

M y wife just got the new CBS streaming thing, (against my better judgement... happy wife, happy life, ) so we watched Picard. Fans of the original Next Gen will enjoy it. Love Picard’s dog.

All you need is a pair of robot friends cobbled together out of spare parts and you could host your own show.

Wow. The God-Emperor of Mankind designed that Basilica spaceship himself, thank-you-very-much

Delicatessen sounds like 10 Cloverfield Lane. Upstream and Primer both look super interesting. I need to find someone to watch these types of movies with

My recollection of Sphere was that it was really bad , but it’s been a long time.

Primer is probably my favorite of the bunch. It is, however, the kind of movie that practically begs for multiple viewings.

You should just watch The Expanse if you haven’t seen it yet, or just watch it again if you have.

Primer is awesome. I’m too dumb to unravel it. I’m ok ay with that.

If someone tells me they totally got it on their first viewing, I tend to believe they never watched it.

Thanks for the reminder. I watched the first season when it came out, fell in love, then got pissed when the next season required additional payment beyond that of my prime account. Definitely need to catch up

If you want to get extra nerd rad, watch Event Horizon as
a part of the Warhammer 40,000 universe, and that it’s a ship that passed through The Warp before the invention of the Gellar Field.

The good news is that all the seasons are free on Prime now since Amazon bought the rights . Season 4 just came out last month so it’s a good time to dive back in.

How else do you ensure proper worship of yourself, all the while telling people you're not a god? That way people will worship you more

I just watched the Picard premier. Which I torrented, of course. I love that there are new Star Trek shows happening but I’m not willing to pay for months’ worth of CBS All Access just to watch Star Trek. Nothing else on there interests me.

1. I usually have a hatred for ridiculous flavored beers like “Peanut Butter Sour” or something. But something about banana bread beer sounds delicious. Maybe it’s the month of sobriety I’m in. Man I miss beer.
2. Sinister is my go to movie that will ALWAYS get me spooked. No matter how many times I watch it, still gets me.
3. Back to banana bread
